Central Connecticut Paralegal Association, Inc. ("CCPA") was incorporated as a non-profit organization in November, 1982. CCPA membership reached 316 members in the 2003-2004 fiscal year and is currently at 196 members for the 2009-2010 fiscal year. CCPA is a volunteer organization which relies upon the active participation of its members.

The goals of CCPA are:

To further and promote the common business interests of persons engaged in the paralegal profession;

To offer continuing legal education to paralegals;

To evaluate and define paralegal roles in various sectors delivering legal services and to educate both employers and consumers to these roles;

To maintain mutually beneficial working relationships with local, state and national bar associations and other paralegal associatisions; and

To maintain relationships with state accredited legal education programs or courses for paralegals.
