Kim assists the President in the area of policy and supervises standing and ad hoc committees.

Maria Sommer- email

Maria records the minutes of all meetings of the members and Board of Directors; serves all notices of CCPA; and is the custodian of CCPA's coroprate records.

RB TREASURER
Robert Baniszewski - email

Bob has custody and responsibility for all funds and securities of CCPA.


 

PBCVICE PRESIDENT - NFPA PRIMARY REPRESENTATIVE
Patricia B. Chouinard - email

Pattie is the liaison between the CCPA and NFPA, attends such national or regional NFPA meetings; and reports to the members on matters of national importance to the profession with due diligence.

Lisa is the liaison between the CCPA and NFPA, attends such national or regional NFPA meetings; and reports to the members on matters of national importance to the profession with due diligence.

Janet Jacboson - email

Janet periodically reviews CCPA's Bylaws and makes recommendations for changes to the Board of Directors. She also acts as a parlamentarian for meetings of the members and the Board of Directors.



CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION DIRECTOR (CLE)

Rose coordinates all seminars and continuing legal education functions sponsored by the CCPA.

MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR
Sharon Sinkoski - email

Sharon responds to inquiries regarding membership; maintains current membership lists; and recruits new members from the professional community.

NEWSLETTER DIRECTOR
Sharon Spinelli - email

Sharon collects data and articles for coordinating and preparing CCPA's newsletter for distribution to its members.

PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Shelly L. Bender - email

Shelly plans and organizes general membership meetings and notifies members about upcoming events of interest to the membership.

PCGSTUDENT LIAISON DIRECTOR

Pat maintains and fosters open contact with institutions offering paralegal programs, primarily within the State of Connecticut.

JFBAR ASSOCIATION LIAISON COMMITTEE CHAIR

Janice and her committee work with bar associations to foster a continuing relationship between members of those bar associations and members of CCPA.

 

CT ALLIANCE COMMITTEE CHAIR
Beth Baker - email

Beth and her committee are responsible for representing CCPA as a member of the Connecticut Alliance of Paralegal Associations (CAPA). CAPA is comprised of three of the paralegal associations in Connecticut which are members of NFPA: CCPA, Connecticut Association of Paralegals, Inc., and New Haven County Association of Paralegals, Inc.. CAPA was formed as a vehicle by which all Connecticut NFPA member associations could share information by networking, discussing statewide issues, conducting statewide meetings and/or seminars, sharing job bank information and acting as a cohesive group on issues affecting paralegals in the State of Connecticut.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE CHAIR

The Information Technology Committee Chair maintains CCPA's website including organizing CCPA's calendar of events on the website and updating the website's form, content and layout.

JOB BANK COMMITTEE CHAIR
Pina Salvatore - email

Pina and her committee develop and maintain listings of employment opportunities for paralegals within the State of Connecticut.

JFLEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE CHAIR

Janice and her committee monitor and track all legislation brought before the Connecticut General Assembly which may be of interest to CCPA. When appropriate, the committee works with the Board of Directors, in conjunction with NFPA, to address proposed legislation affecting paralegals in the State of Connecticut.

SSMENTOR COMMITTEE CHAIR
Stephanie Stevens - email

Stephanie and her committee match students in paralegal studies, paralegals changing practice areas or paralegals who are new to the community with an experienced practicing member of CCPA who is willing to be a resource and make an affirmative effort to get the newcomer oriented to the legal environment.

Mike provides information to CCPA members regarding PACE certification, responds to inquiries regarding PACE, and guides candidates interested in forming study groups.

Jen and her committee research information from state and national paralegal associations pertaining to their views and activities with respect to the certification, licensure, and regulation of paralegals.

Patt and her committee coordinate programs in which volunteer paralegals can assist attorneys and/or legal assistance agencies in the area of pro bono cases and programs.

PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE CHAIR

SPONSORSHIP COMMITTEE CHAIR

Karen and her committee are responsible for exploring nondues income for CCPA.

SGNOMINATING COMMITTEE CHAIR
